Campsites
Lake Gaston Americamps is a family owned and operated Good Sam Park located on beautiful Lake Gaston in Bracey, VA. We are open year round and have 120 sites for overnight camping. Our sites vary in sizes, and can accommodate camping units from tents to 45(+) foot RVs. All of our sites have water and electric with 30 and 50 amp hook ups. We have a limited number of full hookup sites, some of which are concrete pads. We also have waterfront sites available for tents and small trailers.
Cabins
We have 8 beautiful cabins available for rent. Each cabin has:
- 2 sets of bunk beds with one bed being a double bed
- Air conditioner
- Built in heater
- Small fridge
- 1 outlet to charge your cell phone or laptop
- A covered porch
- A nice driveway
- Picnic table
- Fire ring
- Water faucet
- Outside electric hookup
All cooking must be done outside. No smoking or coolers allowed inside cabins. Absolutely no pets allowed if you are renting one of our cabins.
Bathrooms are not available in the cabins. You must use the nearby bathhouse (more info below).
Helpful list of what to bring: Sleeping Bags, Sheets or Blankets, Pillows, Cooking Equipment, Pots or Pans, Serving Utensils, Toiletries, & Trash Bags. Whatever else you might need we have in the campground store.
Bathhouses
Our bathhouses have a Good Sam rating of 9.5* out of 10! Our bathhouses and laundry rooms are checked regularly and kept very clean. There are 2 bathhouses located in the front and the back of the campground. Each has:
- An inside shower with several sinks & commodes
- Several outside showers, all with hot & cold water
- An attached laundry room with 2 dryers & 2 washers each
